For many Olympic fans, getting a look at the food at the Olympic Village is almost as important as watching the Games themselves. At the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, athletes and fans fell in love with the chocolate muffins, and at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, it seemed like the lava cakes were going to be this year’s viral sensation. But that all changed when a giant Nutella pump appeared in the dining hall. To learn more about the viral snack, including an easy way to get your own vat of Nutella, keep scrolling.

Why the Nutella pump at the Olympic Village is going viral

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games started on February 6. There are more than 2,900 athletes from over 90 countries competing, and most of them are eating, sleeping and training at the Olympic Village.

On February 4, U.S. snowboarder Hahna Norman, age 21, posted a TIkTok video of the Olympic Village dining hall, showing what it looks like, what foods are available and what she got for breakfast.

The video blew up shortly after, with viewers noticing one important detail that Norman didn’t mention in her video: a massive Nutella pump sitting on the counter.

“Wait wait wait… you went right by that Nutella dispenser!” one social media user commented.

A few days later, Norman returned to the dining hall and this time made it a point to show off the giant Nutella pump. The video went viral and currently has over 3 million views and almost 1,000 comments, most of which are centered around people wanting to find the pump and take it home.

“I’d be leaving the Olympics with a suspiciously giant Nutella dispenser shaped bag,” one user wrote.

Another social media user joked that “Whoever wins the most golds gets to take the Nutella dispenser.”

Brands also got in on the fun, with Delta airlines commenting, “OH MY GOSH,” on Norman’s now viral video.

Nutella also commented on the video, writing on Instagram, “We are so happy about this!”

And Norman’s not the only one getting in on the chocolatey goodness. Snowboarder Maddie Mastro, age 25, posted a video of herself using the Nutella pump, which she called the “Nutella keg.”

“That Nutella dispenser is turning out to be the star of these Olympics!” one person commented on Matro’s video.

From ‘Muffin man’ to ‘Nutella keg’

Prior to the Nutella keg, Olympians and fans were obsessed with the chocolate muffins at the Paris Olympic Village in 2024. They discovered them after Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen, age 29, went viral for his never-ending video series dedicated to tint them. He even went on to earn the title of the “Muffin Man,” which he fully leaned into, especially after it was revealed that he hadn’t “really kept track” of all the treats he had eaten.

How to recreate the Olympic Nutella experience

Sadly, you can’t buy the giant Nutella pump, but you can order this massive 6.6-pound tub of the food spread on Amazon

You can also, of course, just get a normal sized Nutella jar and eat the hazelnut spread on toast, bananas or on a spoon. No matter what you choose, it’s sure to be delicious.
