What is the Freakier Friday Crumbl Cake?
On Monday, August 4, Crumbl Cookies released a “vanilla cake stuffed with key lime cheesecake filling, topped with a blackberry glaze and a velvety key lime mousse” to celebrate the release of Disney’s Freakier Friday on Friday, August 8.
“Freakier Friday brings that perfect mix of nostalgia and fun and we couldn’t resist putting our own Crumbl spin on it,” Rhonda Bromley, Crumbl Vice President of Public Relations, said in a press release obtained by Woman’s World.

The Freakier Friday Key Lime Blackberry Cake is currently available for purchase at all Crumbl Cookies locations nationwide for $5.98; alternatively, you can purchase a four- or six-pack for an additional $0.99 per cake.
The special collaboration is available until Saturday, August 9, the day after the film’s release in theaters.
Our Freakier Friday Crumbl Cake review
Combining blackberry and lime isn’t something you see every day, especially in cake form; however, in this collaboration, it totally works. Not only is the bite-sized sweet treat perfectly moist, but the blend of savory, sour and sweet makes you want to eat the entire thing in one sitting—which I did. Twice. Yes, I got two and didn’t regret it at all.
The best part of the cake has to be the blackberry glaze. It’s the perfect consistency and seamlessly blends the cheesecake filling and lime green frosting on top. It truly made every single bite a mouthwatering delight that we couldn’t eat quickly enough.

The only thing we didn’t like about the Friday Key Lime Blackberry Cake was the fact that there wasn’t more of it, because trust us when we say once you start eating it, you won’t want to stop.
Crumbl Cookies teases a freaky mix-up this Friday
If the Freakier Friday Key Lime Blackberry Cake wasn’t enough, Crumbl Cookies also teased that on Friday, August 8—the day of the film’s release—there would be a switch-up to the flavor.
“Stay tuned into Crumbl’s social media channels, because on Friday, August 8, things will get even freakier,” reads the press release.

As of publication, there is no official word on what the freaky Friday switch-up will be, but several social media accounts dedicated to spoiling Crumbl’s weekly flavors believe it will be a Blackberry Key Lime Cake—instead of a Key Lime Blackberry Cake. Get it? Whether it’ll taste any different is a whole other story. What we do know is the twist feels perfectly on theme, given the movie’s entire premise is about flipping things around!
Be sure to catch Freakier Friday in theaters on Friday, August 8, 2025.
